COHS Pilot Study Awards: Improving Human Health and Well-Being

The Improving Human Health and Well-Being Pilot Award is funded by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs with the purpose of supporting pilot work with a high potential to lead to improved human health and well-being at the clinical or public health level. 

The awards are designed specifically to support pilot work from faculty affiliated with the UCI Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences (COHS), comprised of the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Program in Public Health, and the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute. Faculty from the COHS are eligible to apply for up to $75,000 for a 1-year award. Up to 5 awards may be funded. The estimated start date is March 1, 2024. Projects with multidisciplinary components that address health disparities are encouraged to apply. Basic, translational, clinical or population health projects are eligible.
